METHOD OF SELECTION

(a) SHORTLISTING OF CANDIDATES FOR INTERVIEW

Applications complete in all respects will be further scrutinized/ filtered on the basis of NEET PG entrance examination marks. Marks obtained by the candidates in NEET PG entrance examination will be proportionately converted to the tune of 200 marks and separate lists for male & female candidates will be prepared. Candidates will be called up for interview in the order of the list (separate lists for male and female candidates) based upon NEET PG examination marks upto 08 times of the number of vacancies sanctioned / available to appear for viva-voce/ interview.

(b) INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of Officers in the month of Aug / Sep 2024 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The candidates appearing for interview for the first time will be paid to and fro III AC railway/bus fare.

(c) PHYSICAL & MEDICAL STANDARDS

Every candidate on qualifying in the interview will have to attend the Special Medical Examination Board (SMB)
constituted by the DGAFMS for examining his / her medical fitness as per laid down standards. The proceedings will remain confidential. However, candidates declared ‘UNFIT’ by the Special Medical Board (SMB) may apply for the Appeal Medical Board (AMB). The procedure for AMB will be explained by the President of Special Medical
Board.

Candidates are advised to note that DGAFMS/DG-1A has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards (AMB) and the procedure advised by the medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to. The Candidates declared ‘UNFIT’ by the AMB may apply for the Review Medical Board (RMB). However, Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of the DGAFMS based on the merits of the case. No representation in this regard will be entertained. Candidates will be considered medically ‘FIT’ only on receipt of approved medical documents.

Note: Pregnancy, if detected at any stage, after qualification at interview or during pre-commission Medical Examination will render the candidate ‘TEMPORARILY UNFIT’.

MERIT LIST

(a) All candidates who have qualified in the viva/interview (by securing at least 50% marks) will be subjected to medical examination immediately after the interview.

(b) It is to be noted that mere qualifying at the interview does not confirm final selection. Separate merit lists of both male and female candidates, who obtain minimum qualifying marks of 50% in the viva-voce, will be drawn up by adding the NEET PG marks (after prorating them out of a maximum of 200 marks) and marks obtained in viva-voce (50 marks).

(c) From the prepared merit lists the candidates declared Medically FIT shall be issued joining instructions for commissioning as SSC Officers upto the number of vacancies available for each merit list.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE

(a) The following Essential Certificates/ documents should be scanned and uploaded:-

(i) Passport Size Photograph (jpeg, Size-upto 100kb)
(ii) Scanned copy of class X (Matriculation) Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation as a proof of date of birth (pdf, size-upto 200kb)
(iii) A scanned copy of Final MBBS Part- I & II attempt certificate.
(iv) A scanned copy of Internship completion certificate.
(v) A scanned copy of NEET PG entrance exam result sheet/ score card.
(vi) Aadhar Card

(b) Following original documents are essentially required to be produced for verification at the time of interview:-

(i) Matriculation Certificate (Class X)/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation as a proof of name and date of birth (Born after 1992).
(ii) Aadhar Card.
(iii) Permanent Medical Registration Certificate.
(iv) Internship Completion Certificate.
(v) MBBS Degree Certificate, PG Degree Certificate.
(vi) Final MBBS (Pt I & II) Attempt Certificate or Transcript Certificate.
(vii) NEET PG entrance exam result sheet/ score card.
(vii) No Objection Certificate from present employer, if any.
(viii) NCC Certificate, if any.
(ix) National Board of Examination Certificate for Foreign Medical Graduates.
(x) Passport for Foreign Medical Graduates.
(xi) Gazette Notification or any other authority clearly highlighting your new name, if there is any change in the name after Matriculation (Class X).
(xii) 10 Passport size photographs, photo identity proof and address proof.
(xiii) Attestation Form in five copies duly filled in and attested by Competent
Authority (Refer Para 19 below).
